The Rotherham Photographic Society is holding a photographic evening in Sheffield for those who are interested in the hobby.
The event will be held on Wednesday 26 July, from 5pm to 7.30pm, at Costco Sheffield, which is located at Parkway Business Park.
There will be work on display from local colleges that run photography courses and members of the Rotherham Photographic Society, which includes specialists in high level photography and those who run picture-framing businesses.
A networking opportunity
It is also an opportunity to network with other photographers and members of the arts community.
The society will also be offering advice on the hobby, providing information about the society and handing out course details from local colleges.
Free refreshments will be provided and attendees are encouraged to sign-up as a member of the Rotherham Photographic Society, as a £20 Costco voucher and a free photographic print will be given to those who become a member on the night.
Forging links with local companies
The evening is being held in partnership with local firm Costco Sheffield, which is a membership wholesaler that sells goods ranging from food and soft drinks to clothing and jewellery.
In addition to this, they also have a professional photo lab that will be displaying photography during the event.
Chris Abe, Assistant Warehouse Manager at Costco Sheffield, said: “As part of adding value to our membership, we also hold tailored events and invite specific membership categories.
“It is also a good tool for us to use to help promote one of our individual departments – as well as forge links with local organisations and societies, bring new members into our business and, hopefully, new members or customers to our partners.
“So far we have had an excellent response, so we are hoping it will be a success for everyone concerned.”
The evening is free and to confirm your attendance, contact Costco Sheffield on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0114 242 7615.
